Major Life Goal Completed
Just a quick note to mark an important occasion. Last Sunday, Feb. 19th, Jeff and I both completed a half marathon. It was a great experience (even if my joints from my hips down did feel impossible to move from miles 7.5 until the end). I have definitely caught the bug to do another one, but the hours of training are too much for all I have going on in my life so I think maybe the next one I'd run would be late October. In between, I plan to do some 5 and 10Ks.
2012 is going to continue to be a great year, I think. My sister is getting married in a little over 3 months. My parents were in town this past week and it's hard to believe that the next time we are all together will be in Colorado for her wedding.
The only bummer about 2012 so far is that Greek class is going to take up a full 6 months of the year. I am nearing the end of 2nd quarter. 2nd quarter has been very intense as we continue at the speed of a chapter per class. When I think of all my responsibilities for work plus my sister's wedding happening before I even write that Greek final in mid-June, it's a bit daunting.
